This hat was designed to be part of a bundle with the Herbaceous pullover. The stretchy folded brim is worked in a faded rib, an element borrowed from the ribbing of Herbaceous. The main area of the hat is worked in staggered knot stitches, which are used in the body of Herbaceous. Symbolic of the buds of various herbs, these knot stitches offer a delicate texture that is like a small bobble, only easier to work
