Emma Kirkby, Matthew Hargreaves, Marina Garanin and Ben Cartlidge perform George Sharpley's adaptation of Virgil's epic poem, the Aeneid. Callum Armstrong adds ancient music with a reconstructed aulos.

Despite centuries of silence, the magic of these Latin voices is the most thrilling dynamic to come out of the ancient world. The Song of Arms and a Man gives everyone access to the beauty of this language.

Eighty-nine Latin readings (divided into ten parts) tell Virgil's story from start to finish, lasting ninety-eight minutes. Each passage has a brief English introduction.

The eBook has an introduction to the poem and the story, all the Latin readings, and English translations.
