Charles Brown's story is one of Trouble, Trial and Ultimate Triumph. Raised by a praying mother and a passive father in inner-city Jacksonville, like the prodigal son he soon ran off in search of a life on his own terms.

As 120 lb. heroin addict, Charles "Charlie" Brown was willing to do just about anything to support his life-destroying habit. Arrested 12 times for various crimes - Charlie stole from anyone he could.

After serving three years in state prison, Charlie landed at the Orlando Bridge in 1983.

Today, an ordained Episcopal Priest, Charlie has risen to a high level of success as Senior Vice-President and Chief Program Officer of Bridges International. Father Brown oversees a holistic recovery program that reaches thousands of prisoners and addicts across America and Canada, and trains chaplains to work in the prison systems in the therapeutic recovery process.
