Photographing a restaurant at a Westin hotel
30 minute video
In this video, I take you through the process of shooting and lighting a restaurant at the Western by Marriott in Lake Las Vegas. I discuss my setup, including using a GFX100 camera tethered to Capture One, and the importance of arranging furniture for a pleasing composition. You'll see how I adjust lighting to create depth and dimension in the images, and I share tips on managing the shoot with stylists and hotel staff. I also highlight the challenges of working with natural light and flash, and how I plan to retouch the images afterward.
Retouching time lapse shown at the end.
