What is the use of IES Lights?

• IES light refers to a type of lighting simulation in 3D rendering software to generate realistic light effects.
• “IES” stands for the Illuminating Engineering Society, which established the standard IES file format that contains photometric data, such as light distribution patterns, intensity, and angles.

• IES file: A standard text file (.ies) that contains photometric data about a specific light type.
