Life has valleys, wildernesses, and crosses. Life is full of disappointment, disillusionment, and even death. These tragedies haunt us and lie to us, telling us that our Father isn’t always good and that His love isn’t perfected in His goodness. Sometimes the valley of the shadow of death is the only thing that seems real. Sometimes the lie looks and sounds and feels so true. But the truth is that God is always good, and He is with us in the valley.
