Lighting Direction & Leadership
Somebody else's plot, a crew you did not hire, a venue that does not match
A lighting director is rarely the person who designed the show. You are given a plot somebody drew, a crew you did not hire, a venue that is not the one the plot was drawn for, and a schedule that was optimistic when it was written. Your job is to make that produce a show, tonight, with everybody still willing to work with you tomorrow.
