Joyce - PDF knitting pattern

Joyce was one of the two patterns for our 10th annual mystery Hat-a-long.

The pattern is worked from the bottom up, with the colourwork pattern created by using slipped stitches on garter stitch.

The pattern is provided in both written and charted format, and is provided in 4 sizes.

Yarn

Yarn A: 89 [100, 137, 153] yd/81 [91, 125, 141] m
Yarn B: 66 [75, 103, 128] yd/60 [68, 94, 117] m
66yd/60m for the pompom (optional)
54yd/49m for a 6x6in/15x15cm swatch in Garter St.
Sport weight, plied yarn.

Needles & Notions

Pair 3.25mm/UK10/US3 straight needles or size needed to obtain gauge
3.25mm crochet hook
Cable needle
Stitch marker as necessary
Tapestry needle

24 sts x 48 rows to 4in/10cm on 3.25mm needles over Garter St.
24 sts x 56 rows to 4in/10cm on 3.25mm needles over Slipped Stitch pattern
