Canon in D – The Pandemonium (After John Martin)
🏛️ Canon in D – The Pandemonium (After John Martin)
"Where the divine order of the Baroque meets the sublime chaos of the Infernal."
🎧 About This Work
What happens when the architectural madness of the 19th century meets the mathematical precision of the 17th?
'The Pandemonium' is a sonic translation of John Martin’s apocalyptic masterpiece. If Pachelbel’s original Canon in D is a loop of celestial order, this version reinterprets that loop within the iron-clad, fire-lit walls of Pandemonium—the capital of chaos.
In this arrangement, the famous ground bass (D-A-B-F#) is no longer a light, dancing sequence. It is a heavy, rhythmic pulse of iron and stone—the very foundation of an architecture that must be rebuilt every time it crumbles. This is the 'Architecture of Sacrifice.'
