DESCRIPTION

Most traders lose money for a reason they will never find on a chart.

They enter trades they haven't fully accepted the risk on. They carry the emotional residue of the last trade into the next one. They hesitate at entry because some part of their mind is still trying to predict an outcome rather than execute a probability. They override their stop because they believe, in that moment, that this trade is different.

None of that is a strategy problem. It is a psychology problem. And it happens in the five minutes before you open a position.

The 5-Minute Pre-Trade Psychology Protocol is a structured, three-step pre-session checklist built directly on The Five Fundamental Truths from Trading in the Zone. It is not a motivational exercise. It is not a breathing technique. It is a calibration system - a repeatable process that forces you to verify your psychological state, confirm your edge, and install the beliefs required for clean execution before you take a single trade.

It takes five minutes. It is designed to be used before every session, without exception. The protocol exists precisely for the sessions when you believe you don't need it.

WHAT'S INSIDE

Step 1 — State Assessment (1 Minute)

Four diagnostic questions that surface emotional residue, revenge motivation, and physical unreadiness before you open a chart. Each question includes a conditional instruction: if the answer is "No," you are told exactly what belief is causing the problem and what to do about it.

Step 2 — Edge Verification (2 Minutes)

Five questions that demand a one-sentence articulation of your edge, pre-defined risk acceptance, probabilistic framing of the trade, and confirmation that today's market conditions are consistent with the conditions your edge was built on. If you cannot answer all five with "Yes," you are not ready to trade.

Step 3 — The Commitment (2 Minutes)

Five statements read aloud — each targeting a specific belief failure mode: certainty-seeking, plan deviation, stop override, and outcome attachment. Each statement is paired with a one-line explanation of the psychological mechanism it addresses.

Post-Session Reflection

A five-question execution audit — not a P&L review. A losing trade executed perfectly is a success. A winning trade that deviated from plan is a warning.

WHO THIS IS FOR

Traders who already have a strategy and still lose money. Traders who know what they should do and consistently fail to do it. Traders who have read Trading in the Zone and understood it intellectually but have not yet translated it into consistent behaviour at the platform.

It is not for traders who are still looking for a better entry signal.

WHAT'S INCLUDED
