Meaning honeycomb in Scottish Gaelic, Cìr-Mheala is named for the beautiful honeycomb brioche pattern that makes up the border. Slipped stitch bands give a beautiful divide between the stocking stitch and brioche and give a beautiful bind-off edge. Stretched well during blocking the honeycomb pattern retains a slightly textured pattern, but also gives a beautiful lacey effect.
The pattern is written for 100g, 200g, and 300g of fingering weight yarn, but is also highly adjustable so you can make the best use of your yarn! The sample is shown in the Medium size, with 200g of The Fibre Fox Merino Singles in Terracotta Blush.

22 stitches and 36 rows in 10 cm (4”) in stocking stitch measured after blocking.

Medium: 176 cm long by 75 cm deep (69” by 29.5”)
Large: 218 cm long by 93 cm deep (86” by 36.5”)

- 366 (732, 1092)m (400 (800, 1200) yds) of The Fibre Fox Merino Singles (100% Superwash Merino, Single Ply, 400 yds/100g) in Terracotta Blush
- 4 mm (US 6) circular needles, 100 cm (40”) long or size needed to get gauge
- 4 stitch markers
- Yarn needle for sewing in ends
- Blocking mat and pins
