The Room of Silences – Oscar's Notebook, Book 5 (ebook)

In this hotel, even the walls keep silent.

One Sunday in March, Superintendent Delhez arrives late, in a car that is not his own. Adrien Vercauteren, one of the most powerful men in Liège, has died in the night, in his suite at the Hôtel Coudenberg in Brussels. The door was locked from the inside. No trace. His heart, says the prosecutor's office. The next morning, he was finally going to talk.

From the hushed salons of the place Royale to the cellars of the old palace, from the cloister of Saint Paul's Cathedral to the dust of the Sablon, Victor Lenoir and Oscar Blanc follow the trail of a silence that was bought for years.

But someone, somewhere, collects objects that have fallen from the sky. And a very polite man is beginning to take an interest in Oscar.

Oscar's fifth notebook: a locked room in the heart of Brussels, family secrets, bought silences, and a meeting Victor has been waiting for a long time.
