Farmer's Rock

Mother Nature has something to say.

And she brought the band.



Farmer’s Rock is a country-soul rock anthem about the ground that feeds us, the hands that care for it, and the life we still have time to grow together.

It begins with something real: sunset and sunrise visits to a pond in Southeast Kansas, where I feed the fish and turtles and spend time with the lives already unfolding there. That relationship became the heart of this song.

Then Mother Nature takes the floor.

She brings warmth, backbone, a little boardroom-shaking humor, and room to let it all out. This is for family farmers trying to make another season, hired hands dreaming of ground to tend, and anyone worn out by concrete, deadlines, and a life that leaves too little room for living.

There’s love here. There’s resistance. There’s a place beside the fire—and a reminder that caring for tomorrow can include having a damn good time today.

Farmer’s Rock is also a real place I’m developing around stewardship, regeneration, and learning to live more attentively with the natural world. The cover began with my own sunset photograph of the pond. The song carries the hope behind that work: more life, more care, and something worth leaving for the children coming after us.
