Living in the Now: Remaining Present with God in Today’s Assignment

There is one place where yesterday cannot imprison you, tomorrow cannot control you, and God continually invites you to walk with Him.

That place is today.

Living in the Now is not a book about time management, productivity, or doing more. It is a Christ-centered invitation to remain present with God in the only moment He has entrusted.

Patrick E. Barber Sr. guides readers through a powerful spiritual journey of recognizing what pulls the heart away from the present—regret, anxiety, distraction, noise, uncertainty, neglect, and false beliefs—and learning how to return to God in today’s assignment.

With biblical clarity, devotional depth, and practical reflection, this book teaches that yesterday is a reference, tomorrow is a possibility, and the present is an assignment entrusted by God.

Every breath is a gift.

Every day is a new page.

Every moment is an invitation.

And God is present now.
