Nanotechnology promises all kinds of breakthroughs. Nanotech will give us new materials, help us remove pollutants from the environment, and impreve our health.
Perhaps nanotech offers some threats as well. After all, it isn't that big a step to go from repairing your body to rewriting it, so other people can control it from the outside.
That's the scenario this short story explores, in a firt person narrative that blends near-future science fiction with horror.
