¡A Comer! Tortillero

A very common item in every Mexican kitchen is a tortillero or tortilla warmer! This can either be a woven basket, an insulated container, or even just a kitchen towel folded up. This item is usually something handmade and special, because tortillas are special and essential to our cuisine. We have to take care of them and keep them warm! This pattern uses cotton yarn and is knit flat then joined in the round to create a cozy pocket for your tortillas. Stranded colorwork is used to create the lettering across the top. Finally it is finished off with a 3-needle bind off. All the techniques!

This pattern uses 2 colors of Knitpicks Dishie. The MC uses almost a full skein while the CC only uses about a 1/4 of a skein so great for stash!
