This Art History Workbooks Bundle brings art history to life with art movement and famous artist workbooks for upper elementary and middle school. Instead of memorizing facts, students read and analyze art periods and artists, answer comprehension questions, think critically, research independently, write biographies, and create artwork in each style.

It is made for elementary and middle school art teachers, upper elementary classroom teachers, homeschool educators and substitute teachers, and it works as a structured art history unit, supplemental artist studies, sub plans or school closure work.

HOW TO USE IT

Photocopy full booklets or single pages, bind them into workbooks or duo tangs, and use them as single-day lessons or multi-week units. You can print a full workbook, teach one artist at a time, pick individual pages, use them as sketchbook glue-ins, or run independent research units. Students can work in colored pencils, markers, oil pastels, watercolor, tempera, soft pastels or mixed media.

Because of copyright restrictions, not every artwork image can be included in the PDF. QR codes and online museum resources, such as museum websites or Wikimedia, let students view the artwork online.
