Kirkwood Rhapsody

Kirkwood Rhapsody, created by John Robert Beck in 2005, is an abstract artwork that blends geometric structure with expressive motion in a richly layered field of color. Transparent hexagons, angled ribbons, and faceted shapes move across a surface filled with rose, magenta, coral, violet, amber, and hints of blue-green light. The composition feels both architectural and lyrical, as if form and color are performing together in a visual rhapsody. Strong diagonals bring momentum, while the glowing center and shifting textures create depth, mystery, and emotional resonance. The piece invites the viewer to move through it slowly, discovering rhythm, balance, and changing relationships within the abstract space.
