Ghost Jaguar - Cantariela (Album)

“Cantariela” is the first Ghost Jaguar album to feature me, Gabriela Gomes, on vocals on every song.

Release Date: 04 Nov, 2026.

I have been quietly working on this album for the majority of 2026, with three of the songs having been recorded in late 2025. This is a particularly important album for me because, for the first time, I am able to experience what it is like to sing my own songs across an entire Ghost Jaguar album, something I have always wanted to do.

About the album:

“Cantariela” is a different chapter for Ghost Jaguar, with me taking on the role of vocalist throughout the album. After years of writing songs, this gives me the opportunity to bring my own voice directly into my music and express my songs in the way I have always imagined them.

The album was also strongly influenced by my musical partnership with Tim Sutherland. Tim encouraged me to break out of my introverted ways and motivated me to work on the album. His inspiration and encouragement played an important role in helping make “Cantariela” a reality. Without that motivation, I would not have worked on the album.

The name “Cantariela” also represents more than just the album itself. I have created a dedicated Cantariela channel, which serves as a hub for easier access to the songs I sing for Ghost Jaguar, SGP Band, and Shadow Panther. The channel brings together my vocal work across these different projects in one place.

All songs featuring my vocals are labelled [Cantariela Version], making it easier to identify and find the songs I sing across my different projects.

Songwriting & Composition

All songs were written and composed by me, Gabriela Gomes, except for “Burn,” which was written by Tim Sutherland, with a few lyrical adaptations by me for my version.

“Never Back Down” was written Roger Gomes, and myself, Gabriela Gomes.

The album artwork for “Cantariela” was designed by Tim Sutherland, who also created the distinctive Ghost Jaguar logo. His artwork brings another part of his creative contribution to the project and completes the visual identity of the album.
