TIP: I use clear vinyl, and transfer the house shape panel to the clear vinyl, and bring it with me to the fabric store. That clear house shape pattern helps me determine the print layout, and how much fabric to buy. I then use it to sew a stitch line around the clear house shape panel for the design print fabric & pocket. You can make a pocket panel with the clear vinyl or sheet protector page. I pin straight through the clear pattern through the fabric to make my stitch line as a guide, to match the stitch line of the print house fabric panel & the ironing board fabric house panel
The key is to back stitch on both sides of all inner and outer corners, to reinforce the panels sewn together, and then you can cut away excess seam allowances really close to the stitch line, and turn out the sewn panels, using a closed pen or dull pointy object to push out the seams for nice angles on the house panel. You can also sew around the outer edge of the finished house pot holder, to "finish" the piece, and also adding reinforcement to the seams.
Use heavy duty machine needles, 110/18 size preferably, and buy 2-3, just in case, as a back up.
