Ostarabbit Cowl - PDF Knitting Pattern Only

This pattern was designed with multiple points of inspiration. I wanted to honor my culture by celebrating the Year of the Rabbit, spring, as well as one of my favorite storybook rabbits that was late for a very important date!

MATERIALS

2 Contrasting skeins of DK weight yarn

Sample MC: MollyGirl Rock Star DK Colorway: Little Black Dress

MC: 240y/220m (300y/274m per 100g)

Sample CC: Dizzy Blonde Studios Superwash DK Colorway: Goldie

CC: 185y/170m (280y/256m per 115g)

US 3 (3.25mm) 22-24” circular knitting needles (or appropriate size to match gauge)

Yardage is rounded up about 10% from my actual yardage used.

Please note that I am extremely loose knitter and you may need to use a larger needle to get gauge.

Stitch markers

1 BOR marker

1 repeat dividing marker (optional, to be placed after 69 stitches)

Optional: 2 additional stitch markers to mark halfway point on each repeat (shown in red on chart)

FINISHED SIZE

Measured flat (width x height): 12” x 12” (30.5 x 30.5cm) after blocking

Measured in the round (circumference x height): 24” (61cm) x 24” (61cm) after blocking

GAUGE

22 stitches by 27 rounds (per 4”/10cm) for colorwork in stockinette in the round after blocking

NOTES

To match yardage and gauge, please swatch. Catching floats every 3 stitches for longer (5+) stretches of one color will prevent snagging and loose floats.
