SEPTEMBER 2024 MYSTERY LAYER CAKE QUILT PATTERN

As someone who loves making quilts with pre-cuts, (jelly & dessert rolls, charm & mini charm packs, layer cakes, jolly bars, honey buns & fat quarters & fat eighths to name but a few!), I've been designing patterns for new / beginner quilters using pre-cut fabrics. My patterns usually only require 1-2 types of pre-cuts, making it easier to select fabrics.

This pattern includes:

• Detailed instructions for making the ‘SEPTEMBER 2024 MYSTERY LAYER CAKE QUILT PATTERN’ lap quilt, using Layer Cake squares, including lots of colour diagrams, taking you through the process of completing the quilt, step by step. Lots of hints & tips along the way!

• Size variations should you want to make a larger quilt.

A quick & easy pattern for a beginner to complete.

Finished size is 54.5” x 59.5”

Fabric Requirements:

• 1 print Layer Cake or 39 print Layer Cake squares, (each measuring 10” x 10”)

• 7 print jelly roll strips, (each measuring 2.5” x at least 40”) for binding … in your choice of print or background fabric or combination! … or 1/2 yard of fabric.

• 3 1/2 yards of fabric for backing with 1 horizontal seam … backing dimensions 62.5” x 67.5”
