Man dreams of the work-free income or the easily acquired wealth. It's nothing new. Speculation in ownership does not require hard physical work. Something happens in the brain when the value of what you have speculated on increases. You think that the trend will last forever or for a very long time. Reason becomes clouded and one looks away from the facts or stops looking for the facts. For example, evidence that the market is overvalued. Throughout the ages, people have speculated in many different kinds of assets. People consistently keep the asset for too long. It is perhaps only 5% of people who have time to sell expensive. Which provides just that opportunity because 95% are buyers.
