Rolling Worktable Build Plan
Finished size: 8'3" long × 4' deep × about 41–42" tall
What’s in the plan (10 pages):
- Full materials and shopping list
- Cut list for every 2×4, color coded to match the diagrams
- Board-by-board cutting plan so you get every piece out of 18 boards with almost no waste
- Sheet layouts showing exactly where to cut each piece of plywood
- Step-by-step instructions with dimensioned diagrams for the legs, frames, cabinets, casters, panels, top and doors
- Final checklist so you know it came out right
You’ll need: Standard 2×4s, plywood, 8 casters, hinges, handles and magnetic catches. Everything is easy to find at the hardware store or on Amazon.
Tools: Miter saw or circular saw, drill/driver, tape measure, square and pencil. You don’t need a fancy shop.
If you can measure, cut straight and drive a screw, you can build this. It uses the same simple leg-and-guide system as my shelving units, so it goes together fast and it’s built to hold up.
