Echoes
Echoes
This painting explores the matriarchal systems that flow through generations—the invisible inheritances passed from mother to child through nurture, memory, blood, and spirit.
It speaks to the voices that cannot be heard with the ear, yet live within us. The silent languages carried through our bloodlines, holding centuries of wisdom, knowledge, resilience, and experience that we are still learning to understand and articulate.
At the center of this work is the woman as both vessel and bridge. She gives birth not only to a child, but to a continuation of history. She carries not only a newborn, but a lineage. Not only a newborn, but a language. Not only a newborn, but a system of knowledge, memory, and transformation.
Within her exists the wisdom of those who came before, the responsibility of the present, and the possibilities of the future.
Echoes reflects the enduring influence of the maternal force - the keeper of stories, traditions, and unseen inheritances that shape generations. It is a meditation on ancestry, identity, and the ways in which the past continues to speak through us, becoming an echo of what was, what is, and what is yet to come.
