This is the Senior Kitchen Portal — the ten large-print books of the Senior Complete Shelf, arranged into a guided order of eleven modules and a final step — packaged to be given: by an adult child, to a parent.

What the extra money buys, stated exactly. The Portal edition on its own is $79: the Shelf's books ($104 bought separately, $69 as the Shelf alone) plus $10 for the portal layer — the Start Here, the module cards, the sequence. This Gift Edition is $89, and the further $10 buys the gift packaging and the family path, and nothing else:

- Start Together — Caregiver Pages (5 pages, large print): written to you, the giver. The first sitting together, step by step; how to set up the binder; the pace to offer ("a module a week is lovely, a module a month is also fine"); what the portal does on hard weeks; and the honest notes, in full-size type.

- A printable gift card (1 page): print it, write To and From, and hand over the binder with the first module already printed. The first step is done before the gift is even opened.

Already own the Senior Complete Shelf? The portal layer is yours free — do not buy either edition for the layer. Buy this edition only if you want the Start Together caregiver pages and the gift card, or to give the whole edition to a parent who does not own the Shelf.

What you get (4 files):

- The Senior Complete Shelf (401 pages): Large-Print Book 1 · Thanksgiving · Christmas · Slow Cooker · Air Fryer · Puzzle Book · The Coloring Cookbook · Cooking for One · Diabetic-Friendly · the free San Antonio Senior Discount Guide

- The Portal Layer (25 pages): the senior's Start Here, the module map, twelve module cards with tick-boxes, and the progress page

- Start Together — Caregiver Pages (5 pages)

- Printable Gift Card (1 page)

Companion books, plainly: five modules (2, 5, 6, 7 and 8) point to companion books not in the Shelf — Dinner Rescue, Freezer-to-Table, The Low-Friction Planner, the Simple Budget Planner with the Savings Challenges, and Strong at Any Age — sold separately, and all included for senior centers in the Senior Nutrition Program Kit. The seven Shelf modules are complete on their own.

How it works: no accounts, no passwords, nothing to install — for your parent or for you. Print, hand over, sit together once, and it is theirs.

Claims, plainly: no health promises. The diabetic-friendly module is general information, not medical advice; the movement module offers gentle ideas only. If your parent follows a medical diet, their clinician's guidance always wins — the portal's own pages say so, in the same size type as everything else.
