The Edge of the Sahara

Morocco isn't a collection of cities — it's a country meant to be crossed. This two-week journey follows the old caravan geography from the Atlantic to the Sahara: you begin beside the ocean in Casablanca, get lost in the medieval maze of Fès, climb the High Atlas to summit Mount Toubkal at dawn, then descend through kasbahs and gorges until the land empties into the dunes of Erg Chebbi. It ends in the color and roar of Marrakech, where every influence collides at once. Atlantic, imperial, Amazigh, mountain, caravan, Saharan, modern — the country keeps changing, and somehow stays unmistakably itself.
