NHS GLP-1 Prescribing Report England, August 2026: Mounjaro & Ozempic Data (PDF + CSV)

NHS primary care prescribing of tirzepatide (Mounjaro) and semaglutide (Ozempic, Wegovy, Rybelsus) in England, September 2025 to August 2026, from the NHSBSA English Prescribing Dataset, in a 7-page PDF and a CSV. In August 2026 prescribers issued 487,009 items with a net ingredient cost of £95.4m (actual cost £94.9m), up from £76.7m in September 2025. Tirzepatide made up 342,252 items and £80.2m. The peak month was July 2026 at £99.1m, and the 12 months total £994m. The Midlands was the highest-cost region (£20.0m) and North East and North Cumbria the highest-cost ICB (£6.1m).
