Amigas Cowl

This is a knitting pattern (pdf) in english and portuguese.

This cowl/shawl is the perfect gift to make for Christmas.

Worked with just one ball of DK-weight mohair and 6.5 mm (US 10 ½) needles, it can be completed in just a few hours. The construction begins like a traditional triangular shawl, with increases along the edges and at the center on right-side rows, and edge increases only on wrong-side rows. Once you reach the required number of stitches for the neck circumference, the piece is joined to work in the round, and increases are then made only at the center on alternating rounds.

This knitting pattern was designed for Maria’s Knitting Club as a Christmas gift.

One Size. Finished measurements: 23’’/ 58 cms circumference and 15 ‘’/ 38 cms deep.

Esta gola/xaile é o presente perfeito para ofereceres no Natal.

Trabalhada com apenas um novelo de mohair de espessura DK e agulhas de 6,5 mm, fica pronta em poucas horas.

A construção inicia-se como a de um xaile triangular, com aumentos nas orlas e no centro pelo direito, e aumentos apenas nas orlas pelo avesso. Quando atingires o número de malhas necessário para a circunferência do pescoço, a peça é unida para trabalhar em circular, passando então a realizar aumentos apenas no centro, em carreiras alternadas.

Este modelo de tricot foi desenhado para o Clube de Tricot da Maria como prenda de Natal.
