Maths anagrams (ESOL, maths)

Maths anagrams activity.

1. Activity has 2 sets of cards, one with anagrams, the other with the maths words.

2. Print, laminate and cut up into cards.

3. Place the two sets of cards face down on the table in separate piles.

4. Give learners a set time (2 minutes?) to guess the maths word and ask them to turn the

anagrams cards over.

5. When time is up, the learners can turn over the second set of cards and check their

answers.

Activity extension:

• Get learners to create their own maths anagram and test other learners.
