This activity starts with quadrilaterals and organizes shapes into trapezoids, kites, and parallelograms, including rectangles, rhombuses, and squares. Students match each shape name, image, and description to the correct place on the family tree.
Multiple options are included so you can choose what works best for your students. Use the completed flowchart as a reference tool, or have students complete the cut-and-paste version for a hands-on geometry activity. Both black-and-white and color versions are included.
