Nutville - Bb Tenor Sax Solo by Jim Coile of the group Sonando

This is a 3-page transcription of Jim Coile's fantastic Bb Tenor Sax solo on Horace Silver's Nutville tune by the group Sonando from an album called "Tres". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pXrIa60jHQY. I first heard this track on Sirius XM Satellite Radio while driving home one night from teaching lessons at the University of Waterloo. I was blown away by the tenor saxophonist's incredibly awesome solo, so I checked out the Sonando group online, and proceeded to lift his solo -- mostly for myself and as a teaching aid for my students. I got in touch with Fred Hoadley, Sonando's bandleader, after learning of Jim's tragic accidental death back in 2019. Turns out he was a fellow fisherman who loved to travel southern destinations to cast a line. In this transcription, I hope I'm honouring Jim's memory and his legacy of great jazz playing. In memory of Jim Coile (1948-2019).
