Gyres Field Guide Vol 3 - Pyramid Power
There are two pyramid mysteries, and only one of them is real.
The real one is engineering. The simplest way anybody has proposed to raise 2.3 million blocks needs a ramp a mile and a half long that would have used more material than the pyramid itself — and no trace of such a thing has ever been found at Giza. That question is genuinely open, it is being worked on by serious people right now, and in 2018 a real ramp was excavated at Hatnub that changed the shape of the argument.
The other one started with a French dowser, a story about dead cats, and a Czechoslovak patent for keeping razor blades sharp. It has been tested. It failed.
This guide tells you which is which, and shows its working for both. It sets out what the archaeology actually supports — the learning curve from Djoser to Giza, how they found true north to within three arcminutes, a working logbook kept by one of the men who shipped the casing stone. It sets out what is still open, including two spaces found inside the pyramid since 2017 by pointing cosmic-ray detectors at it. And it takes the pyramid power literature seriously enough to read the patent, which turns out to contradict itself three times in its own text.
Part 4 is the author’s own account — fifty years of interest, a practice that has never once used a shape, and a page he drew in 2023 for a machine he never built.
