A Year of Dinners For You — A Personalized Year of Weekly Dinner Picks (Printable Gift) | Fast, Cheap & Confident
Answer nine questions about someone you love. They get a printable year of dinners — one a week, 52 picks — chosen for their tastes, with their name on the cover.
The hardest gift to buy is for the person who cooks for everybody else. This is that gift.
A Year of Dinners For You is a personalized, printable document: 52 dinner picks — one a week, for a whole year — chosen from my published cookbooks and matched to the person you describe. You answer nine short questions (their name — spelled exactly as it should appear — what they love, what they won't eat, their kitchen, their courage level). I build their year:
- Four seasons of 13 picks, their favorites front-loaded, their dislikes steered around, no dish that assumes equipment they don't own
- Every pick is a real recipe from my books, named with its source — this document is the map for the year; the full recipes live in the books it names
- A swap bench of extra picks at the back, because taste is personal and a missed week shouldn't end the year
- A fridge-door tracker — 52 weeks, 52 checkboxes
Print it, wrap it, done. This is a printable PDF delivered by email — nothing is shipped, which is exactly why it can be personal and on time.
Christmas, stated plainly: for Christmas delivery, order and complete the questionnaire by Friday, December 11, 2026 (11:59 PM CT) and your document arrives by Friday, December 18, 2026 — in your hands a full week before Christmas Day. Christmas orders are capped at 25 documents, because every document is assembled and reviewed by hand (Jerry reviews every one personally, name spelling first); when the cap fills, Christmas ordering closes and the listing says so. The rest of the year, delivery is 5 business days from your completed questionnaire, with at most 3 documents in flight at once. Questionnaires completed after December 11 are delivered in the standard 5 business days with the Christmas guarantee explicitly not applying — you'll be told the new date, and offered a refund, before work starts.
One honest note on restrictions: picks are planned around what you tell me — including "not sure," which is a perfectly good answer and just makes me choose carefully — but nothing in the document certifies a dish safe for an allergy or a condition. It says so inside, too, where your person will read it.
And if I misspell the name or garble a fact that's my fault: fixed and re-sent free, immediately. A personalized gift with the wrong name on it isn't a gift. If a delivery date is missed (the standard date, or December 18 in the Christmas window), that's a full refund — just reply to the email.
FAQ:
Q: Do they get the recipes too?
A: They get the year's picks with a cook's note for each and the book each recipe lives in. If you want to give a book alongside, the picks tell you exactly which one they'll use most — that's a feature: next year's gift, solved.
Q: What if I barely know their tastes?
A: Then this questionnaire was built for you. Nine questions, "not sure" allowed everywhere — and the bench absorbs the misses.
Q: Can it go straight to them?
A: Yes — your call at question 9. Most buyers send it to themselves, print it, and hand it over in person.
Q: Birthdays in March? Housewarming in June?
A: Year-round. Only the Christmas guarantee has a season.
