THE GLASSMAKER'S MIRROR
THE GLASSMAKER’S MIRROR is a historical art-crime thriller following Senior Investigator Lev Voronin as a murder investigation reopens a twenty-eight-year-old conspiracy.
When a woman is murdered inside the Hermitage with mirror fragments placed over her eyes, Lev recognizes a photograph found at the crime scene: eleven people photographed at Pavlovsk in 1998. One of them was connected to a tragedy that destroyed his family.
As members of the old group begin to die, Lev and Detective Katya Volkova uncover evidence of a long-buried theft involving priceless imperial objects, forged police records and the wrongful conviction of Alexei Vaneev, a gifted young glassmaker.
The investigation ultimately crosses borders, leading to Zurich, an elite private auction and a hidden collection of thirty-six masterpieces guarded in a fortified estate near Lake Lucerne.
What begins as a murder investigation becomes a reckoning with memory, corruption, betrayal and the price of truth.
