Pre-requisite / Entry level:

A Level 2 Beauty qualification is recommended or a facial qualification is required if you are not Level 2 beauty qualified.

Course format:

15 practical (classroom) training / assessment / exam days + online learning modules + case studies

+ monthly video calls for coursework support (dates tbc)

Course content:

• UV30491 Monitor and maintain health and safety practice in the salon
• UV30435 - Promote and sell products and services to clients
• UV30468 Client care and communication in beauty-related industries
• UV30424 Provide body massage
• UV30403 Provide facial electrotherapy
• UV30430 Apply micro-dermabrasion

Duration:

• GLH (Guided Learning Hours): 318. (GLH incl’s. practical, coursework, case studies, assessments, research/reading, revision, written exams)
• Home study (Coursework): This is completed in your own time
• Practical Training: Please check out our current course dates on our website for the practical training element, additional dates can be supplied.

Attendance:

15 classroom days (ALL dates must be attended)

Model required:

• Yes, you will be required to work on models to carry out your case studies at home.
• You may be required to bring a model for one to one training, and for your assessments

Case Studies:

You must carry out and document evidence of a minimum of 4 treatments per subject

VTCT - Vocational training & charitable trust

Career potential:

Massage therapist & Facial skincare Therapist - employed or self-employed, working in a salon or spa or as a home / mobile therapist.

How this could benefit your clients:

Help clients with muscular tension, relaxation and stress relief through swedish massage. Help clients with common skin care and conditions such as acne, enlarged pores, fine lines, wrinkles, puffiness and dark circles around the eyes, scarring.

Additional Costs:

You will need to purchase your own products & kits to bring to the training & in order to carry out your case studies, ie Massage oil such as grapeseed oil, facial skincare kit, For your case studies - High frequency machine, galvanic machine, EMS machine, microcurrent machine, microdermabrasion machine.
