Bring real-world problem solving into your volume unit with this Volume of Cylinders, Cones, and Spheres Chain Reaction Activity. Students practice finding the volume of cylinders, cones, and spheres using real-world scenarios.
This activity includes 12 volume problems that give students practice working with radius, diameter, and height. Students solve each problem, find the matching answer on another strip, and connect the pieces together to build a chain. If an answer is incorrect, the chain will not connect correctly, giving students a built-in way to check their work.
Use this activity for independent practice, partner work, stations, math centers, or review. Students can also tape or glue their completed chains together and display their work around the classroom.
