Soundshine Record
Soundshine Record captures the audio playing on your Mac and saves it to a clean file.
Pick your sources. Record everything your Mac is playing, or select just the apps you care about. Add any microphone alongside either, so a call and your own voice land in the same file.
Every source gets its own volume slider and live level meter, and you can rebalance the mix while the recording runs. Passthrough monitoring lets you hear the finished mix as it records, with captured apps routed through Soundshine Record instead of your speakers, so there is no echo and no doubled audio.
There is no virtual audio driver to install. Soundshine Record uses Core Audio process taps, so nothing is installed into your system, there is no admin password, and there is no restart. Grant recording permission once and you are set.
Recordings save as AAC (.m4a) by default, or as WAV or AIFF, in 48 kHz stereo, to Music > SoundshineRecord or any folder you choose.
Try every feature free. Trial recordings include a gentle chime every 30 seconds, and that is the only limitation. A one-time purchase removes it permanently. No subscription, and updates are free.
Available in 15 languages. Requires macOS 15 or later.
