Addictive second chance paranormal romance - couldn't put it down!

Where do I even start? This book completely consumed me from the very first page. Mia Blackwood has created something truly special with Sophia and Marcus's story.

The rejection backstory hit me right in the feels - three years of heartbreak and growth, and then BAM, she's back and stronger than ever. Sophia isn't your typical broken heroine waiting to be saved. She's a successful veterinarian who's built a whole life for herself, and watching her return to face her past was incredibly satisfying.

Marcus... oh my GOD, Marcus. The groveling was chef's kiss perfect. He had to work for every moment of forgiveness, and the author didn't make it easy on him (or us!). The tension between them was electric - you could feel their history and hurt crackling off the page.

The pack dynamics and politics added such rich depth to the story. The Shadow Ridge threat felt genuinely dangerous, and the Luna challenge had me on the edge of my seat. But what I loved most was how Sophia discovered her own power - not because of Marcus, but despite everything he put her through.

The steamy scenes were absolutely scorching, but it was the emotional intimacy that really got me. When walls finally came down, I may have teared up a little (okay, a lot).
