Though this wind quintet uses a piccolo, it can be played by a flute if they play up the octave. The piccolo, oboe and clarinet each play one of the pieces on hand held percussion.

This includes:

 1. Summertime - Sommerlied von Neidhart · This is by Neidhart von Reuenthal (1190-1237), a famous German minnesinger. 

2. Early Strolling At My Leisure - L'Autrier Par La Matinee · This piece was composed by Count Thibaut of Champagne (1201-1253), who was the first French king of Navarre and a Trouvere. 

3. Minstrel Song - Minnelied · This is a melody from the Locheimer Leiderbuch.  The Locheimer Leiderbuch is a collection of German songs fromt the Middle Ages to the Renaissance. A trouvère is a French troubadour. A minnesinger was a German lyric poet and song writer from about 12-14C who wrote of love. 

Instrumentation: Piccolo(or Flute 8va)/Tambourine, Oboe/Tambourine, Clarinet/Tambour, French Horn and Bassoon.
