About This E-Book

Co-operation is not just a system; it is the spirit of “growing together.” In a vast and rural-based country like India, the co-operative movement has played a vital role in strengthening farmers, small traders, workers, and common citizens economically. Its contribution has been extremely significant in areas such as banking, agriculture, rural development, credit systems, and financial inclusion.

Today, Co-operative Awareness has become an important subject in various competitive examinations such as IBPS Bank, SBI Bank, Co-operative Bank exams, NABARD, SSC, state-level examinations, and other government recruitment exams. Keeping this growing need in mind, this e-book has been created.

This book explains the history of co-operation, co-operative societies, co-operative banking, NABARD, NCDC, NCUI, financial inclusion schemes, Priority Sector Lending (PSL), the role of Reserve Bank of India, accounting concepts, current affairs, and many exam-oriented important facts in a simple and easy-to-understand language.

The objective of this book is not only to provide knowledge but also to develop readers’ understanding and interest in the co-operative sector. Every chapter has been written in a simple and student-friendly style so that even beginners can understand the concepts without difficulty.

I believe this e-book will prove highly useful for students, competitive exam aspirants, and all readers who are interested in the field of co-operation and banking.
