Crisis Knowledge Management & Preparedness Foundation's mission is to raise  awareness for individuals, businesses and communities about disaster preparedness and sustainability with a vision of helping 30 million people.

This book is a reference guide provides the information necessary to make that happen. It is designed to be kept with the plans and kits so each year they can be reviewed to make sure everything is up-to-date. It can be completely white labeled including adding a page or chapter in the book.

Coni spent over 7 years as a FEMA inspector and trainer (over 50 disasters and 1000’s trained), and saw a real need for individuals and businesses to have more information about being prepared, surviving and recovering when the unthinkable happens. According to FEMA 75% of businesses that are affected by an event and do not have a plan will be out of business after 2 years. Whether you are a large or small business you can create resiliency in your business and the people that are a part of it.

She founded the Crisis Knowledge Management Preparedness Foundation (CKMP) to increase the number of people and businesses that are properly prepared, reduce loss and be more sustainable. We team with community leaders to provide education and services through churches, schools, civic organizations and community groups.  CKMP is working on initiatives to provide kits, educate and support communities.

Our first initiative is called KitsforKids. By providing go-bags that fit in a child’s backpack we are not only educating children on what to do but also their parents through an assortment of events. Kits include a tracker, recording of what to do, tourniquet, mylar blanket/poncho, whistle, light, emergency contacts and more. Our other kits include for pets, elderly and people with disabilities.

Kids with CKMP Go-bags: “Mom/Dad, what are our emergency plans and where are our emergency kits?”
