Young Leo watched over his father’s sheep in a cheerful village surrounded by hills. Mischievous and often bored, Leo decided one day to play a trick. He cried, “Wolf! Wolf!” alarming the villagers, who rushed to help, only to find Leo laughing at his prank.

Though warned about honesty, Leo repeated his trick days later. This time, the villagers grew angry and left, warning him that his lies would have consequences.

One evening, a real wolf appeared, threatening the flock. Despite Leo’s desperate cries, the villagers ignored him, thinking it was another prank. Only Miss Clara recognized the danger and alerted the villagers, who came just in time to chase the wolf away.

Leo, ashamed, promised never to lie again. He rebuilt the trust he had broken, learning the lasting value of honesty and the importance of truth in earning others’ faith.
