What if nothing is wrong with you, and everything makes sense through your nervous system?

A Nervous System Map for the Neurodivergent Mind & Body offers a compassionate, science-informed guide to understanding autism, ADHD, trauma, sensory sensitivity, chronic stress, and nervous system dysregulation through an entirely new lens.

If you have ever felt overwhelmed by sensory input, stuck in survival mode, exhausted by masking, or misunderstood by traditional mental health approaches, this book will help you understand why. Many neurodivergent individuals are not struggling because they are broken, but because their nervous systems are operating in states of chronic stress, overload, or protection.

This groundbreaking framework connects neurodivergence, trauma, anxiety, sensory processing, and emotional regulation into one clear and accessible nervous system map. Rather than focusing on behaviour alone, it explores the internal states that drive overwhelm, shutdown, burnout, and coping patterns, and shows how safety and regulation can be restored.

Inside you will discover:

  • A clear explanation of nervous system regulation and survival states
  • How autism and ADHD interact with stress, trauma, and sensory processing
  • Why burnout, shutdown, and overwhelm happen
  • The link between chronic anxiety and nervous system dysregulation
  • Practical tools to support regulation, resilience, and emotional safety
  • How to move from survival mode into greater stability and connection

This is not a behaviour management approach.

It is a nervous-system-first framework for understanding the neurodivergent mind and body with clarity, compassion, and respect.

Whether you are neurodivergent yourself, supporting a child or teen, or working as a therapist, educator, or caregiver, this book provides a powerful new way to understand regulation, behaviour, and healing.

If you are searching for answers about autism, ADHD, trauma, sensory overwhelm, emotional regulation, or nervous system healing, this book will help you finally understand what your mind and body have been trying to communicate all along.

Unique connections and a comprehensive guide for neurodivergents

Rhonda's book offers one of the most thoughtful and compassionate explorations of the neurodivergent nervous system I’ve encountered. Drawing from both lived experience and deep study, Rhonda explains how autism, ADHD, and AuDHD and other neurodivergent conditions intersect with sensory processing, trauma, attachment, and chronic survival mode. She skillfully connects topics such as rejection sensitivity, PDA, autonomic nervous system patterns, and the double empathy problem, (and so much more) helping readers see how these pieces fit together rather than viewing them as isolated challenges.

What makes this book especially powerful is Rhonda’s ability to translate complex nervous system dynamics into language that is clear, validating, and practical. She moves beyond theory by offering somatic integration practices, regulation tools, sensory mapping, and daily rhythms that support real healing and embodiment.

For neurodivergent individuals—and those who support them—this book provides both understanding and hope. Rhonda writes not only as a knowledgeable guide, but as someone who has walked this path herself and emerged with insight she generously shares with others.

Finally someone who deeply understands Neurodivergence.

A book that sits with me and doesn't judgement. It's like the author has written words that are cradling your head and heart and speaks to the parts of you that has never been seen or discovered.

This book let me discover not only my nervous system but also celebrate the 'black sheep' in me without drowning in shame or being labelled or judged.

Highly recommend. It's a book you will continue to learn from for years and years.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share this.
Your words truly mean more than you know.

It was always my hope that this book would feel less like something to “read” and more like something that sits beside you without judgment, without pressure, just understanding. Knowing that it offered you a sense of being seen and allowed you to explore your nervous system with compassion rather than shame is exactly why this work exists.

There is so much strength in reclaiming the parts of ourselves that once felt like the “black sheep” and realizing they were never wrong only misunderstood or unsupported. I’m deeply grateful the book could be part of that discovery for you.

Thank you for your trust, your openness, and for recommending the work to others. It means the world.
