Dharā Pullover

This textured v-neck pullover is worked from the bottom up and in the round until the underarm. The back and front are then worked flat and shoulders are joined using the 3-needle bind off. Stitches are then picked up around the armholes to work the sleeves in the round. Finally, stitches are picked up around the neck for a neckband.

Twisted stitches play a part throughout the body of the sweater and on the sleeve cuffs.

Sample shown here is Size 1 with a finished chest measurement of 38" (96.5 cm) modeled on a 34" (86.25 cm) chest size.

(7, 7, 8) (8, 9, 10) (10, 11, 12) skeins

or (1362, 1504, 1648) (1792, 1934, 2078) (2220, 2364, 2508) yds / (1246, 1378, 1508) (1640, 1770, 1902) (2034, 2164, 2296) m of any wool base fingering weight yarn.

Needles: US size 4 (3.5mm) needles or size needed to obtain gauge.

Notions: At least 15-28 stitch markers for chart reps depending on size.

Gauge: 24 sts and 36 rounds = 4” (10cm) in st st, after blocking.

18 sts = 2.4” (6cm) - one twisted st motif, after blocking.
