Satura Beanie

This bulky-knit hat uses a simple repeating slip-stitch pattern that enhances the beautiful color of variegated yarn. The slipped stitches are crossed every few rounds, creating long strands of yarn that highlight the variegation. The pattern begins with a mistake-rib pattern that seamlessly flows into the slip-stitch design and, when the body of the hat is complete, stitches are quickly decreased to create a gathered crown.

US 9 [5.5 mm] 16 in [40 cm] circular needle or one size smaller than main needle
US 10 [6 mm] 16 in [40 cm] circular needle and DPNs (or other needles for working a small circumference in the round) or size needed to obtain gauge
