Despite the name, New Jade is actually not Jade!! It is a rock, not a crystal, and is a form of magnesium silicate. Some refer to it as a Serpentine Jade, but really only by color. It is usually a celery green color, light, and translucent. It has been found in Brazil, Canada, China, India, Mexico, Peru,and Russia. It may give you a sense of tranquility, due the the color sparking calm memories of sea glass on a beach.
