This course is for anyone who wants to write their own music from scratch. If you want to improve your melodies by understanding which notes work well together, and create better chord progressions by learning how chords are built, this is for you. It’s also designed to help you understand music terminology and confidently discuss music with others.
Since this course is made exclusively for beginners, it covers the foundational elements that music is built on. Grasping these core concepts will make it easier to learn more advanced ideas later on.

The course watch time is around 40 minutes. You could watch it all in one sitting, but I wouldn't recommend it. Each lesson includes reading material and exercises. Some lessons also have recommended practice.
As each lesson builds on the next, it's important that you fully understand each concept before moving on. However, I make a point to reinforce concepts throughout the entire course.
But for these reasons, expect to spend a lot longer than 40 minutes on this course if you're an absolute beginner with no prior knowledge of music theory.
