PVQ-077 Blizzard quilt pattern
After a blizzard, you might as well make snowballs! But you won’t freeze in this blizzard—it will keep you nice and cozy.
You can use a panel with one large picture (center) and four small pictures (corners), as in the 62” x 74” cover quilt,
If you’d like a smaller quilt, simply eliminate the Fabric 11 border.
The 52” x 64” cover quilt has a 24” panel used for the large center square and the 10 small squares above and below it, with a print for the corner blocks. A large scale print would also work in place of a panel.
I used Deb Tucker’s Studio 180 Corner Pop 1, but instructions for the snowball blocks are included.
I first made this pattern with the All Minnesota Shop Hop fabric for 2022 (white blocks above the center panel), and tester Dotty made that version also (the yellow/green/brownish). I did change it a bit, and omitted the square-in-a-square blocks in the corners of the snowball border. Tester Ruth made the one with the blue moose panel.
The fabrics featured on the pattern covers are Northcott's Naturescapes Autumn Woodland, which begins shipping in July 2025.
The other fabric is Timeless Treasure's Petal Power, which begins shipping to quilt stores in November 2025. That panel for that fabric is a single picture, but I used the center of the panel as the 'large picture' and the remaining panel for the small squares above and below the center.
