Modular Kids Cardigan

The Modular Kids Cardigan is part of our Modular Cardigan Collection and uses mitred squares, garter stitch panels and icord trims.

Optional flower embellishments and small buttons.

I chose James Brett Marble Chunky as it’s machine wash, chunky/bulky weight so it knits quickly.

If you can Knit, slip sts, Purl, pick up stitches, cast on, cast off, increase and decrease, you can knit this cardigan.

Recommended Yarns Lanas Stop Belt, James Brett Marble Chunky or similar weight bulky/chunky yarn

Yarn requirements 220, 285, 350, 400, 475, 580, 650, 700 yds approx

Tension 14 stitches and 28 rows, measured over 10cm/4in in garter st

Needles used Size 6mm straight and circular needles and optional dpns for icord edgings (I used straight needles)

Other tools required eg. tapestry needle for finishing, 5-8 buttons if wanted

Sizes 0-3mths, 6mths, 12mths, 2yrs, 4yrs, 6yrs, 8yrs, 10-12yrs
